Baudville recently launched Team Shirts which provides hundreds of pre-made t-shirt designs with your logo in mind. Here’s why I believe custom t-shirts are just the gift for your team members on Employee Appreciation Day, March 1st, 2013.

1.    Team Shirts appeal to the whole team and build camaraderie
Team Shirts are great gifts that every team member will appreciate and cherish. Custom t-shirts create a sense of pride and accomplishment amongst team members in the workplace. Say thanks to your team during Employee Appreciation Day with a Baudville theme t-shirt and add your team members' names, an accomplishment, and your organization's logo to create a personal touch to the business t-shirt.

2.    Categories and designs you can't get anywhere else
Don't waste your day choosing different clip art and placement options when Baudville's talented designers have already done the work for you. Simply choose from one of our 300 designs, add your name, logo, or both and sit back and relax.

Baudville offers three categories of team shirts tailored with your logo in mind. Smart Sayings provide fun sayings to show off your company spirit. Events provide designs for every business, school, healthcare, philanthropic, and religious events. Baudville Themes use your favorite themes plus your logo to help promote your organization’s message.

Custom t-shirts are a gift that can be used time and time again. T-shirts are a constant reminder of your appreciation for your team members' hard-work and dedication over the year. Celebrate the important milestones your organization accomplished with a custom t-shirt.

4.    Have a companywide Team Shirt casual day
Purchase a company shirt for your team before Employee Appreciation Day. Pass out the t-shirts to your team members in the days before Employee Appreciation Day and allow them to wear their Team Shirt for a casual day on Employee Appreciation Day. Don’t forget to add your company’s logo and name to the t-shirt to make the day extra special.

Office Gift Giving Dos and Don’ts

The workplace becomes a challenging place during the holidays when it comes to office gift giving. As if the holidays weren’t stressful enough, there’s confusion over who you should buy gifts for, how much to spend, and what constitutes an appropriate gift.

Make the holidays go more smoothly for you and your team by establishing some guidelines early in the season. During a team meeting or in a newsletter, remind your staff of any existing company policies about gifts. Many organizations place a $25 limit on any business gifts in order to be tax law compliant.  If your Human Resources department has any rules on Secret Santa exchanges, be sure to review those as well.

Remember that office gift giving isn’t the enemy! In fact, we recommend that you show your thanks and appreciation for members of your team during the holidays with a small gift. Follow office etiquette with our dos and don’ts for holiday gifts that will express your appreciation without stressing you out.

Three Reasons You Should Celebrate Boss’s Day 2012 on October 16

Boss’s Day 2012 is October 16, only two weeks from today. Are you planning to do something for your boss? Boss’s Day is an annual recognition holiday, and it’s important for recognizing managers and supervisors in your organization. If you haven’t planned anything for Boss’s Day, it’s time to start! Recognizing your boss on October 16 can have several benefits in the office and your career. Here are three reasons you should celebrate:
Celebrate Boss's Day!

1. Your boss needs recognition, too. It’s hard to give recognition if you don’t get it, and many mid-level managers are neglected when it comes to positive feedback. Give your boss some much-needed recognition on Boss’s Day, and he’ll be better equipped to return the favor.

Do you have a boss who seems to be incapable of giving recognition? One of the best ways to show him the value of praise is to provide a first-hand experience! Make Boss’s Day special with your genuine and personal appreciation, and your boss will have a hard time denying the positive benefits it brings to his work day!

 2. It shows leadership. A good leader understands the importance of communicating appreciation and value, and you don’t have to be in an official leadership position to practice the management strategy of recognition.  Show your leadership potential by recognizing up on Boss’s Day. Pick out a card for your boss and write a personal note that identifies her best qualities and characteristics that you appreciate. This is a great way to show your ability to recognize individuals for their contributions.

3. You will generate goodwill with your boss. Contributing to a gift for your boss or going out to lunch as a group shows that you’re a committed team player. Plus, celebrating Boss’s Day is an opportunity to engage with your boss over a positive reason. Taking time on Boss’s Day can improve your work and personal relationship, which can end up helping your career.

Top Five Employee Holiday Gifts

by Kendra

Kendra

It may be hard to believe, but the holiday season is sneaking up on us! Have you started your gift shopping yet? It can be very difficult to find gifts for your team that express your appreciation for their contributions throughout the year and don’t break the bank. In our newest Recognition TV video, I shared my top five employee gifts for the holidays, and I’ve included them here on the blog for you, too!

My first holiday gift choice is Spinner Christmas Ornaments. These are by far our most popular and best selling holiday gift! The center part of the ornament rotates to show off exclusive holiday artwork on one side and a blank silver back on the other side. You can personalize the back with up to four lines of personalization, such as the employee’s name, the year, and company name, or you can customize it with a logo. Each ornament comes with a gift box with space for you to write a personal note. To make your gift more memorable, write a short thank you message in this space and sign your name. It shows the employee that you put personal thought and effort into the gift.

My second choice for the holiday season is new to Baudville, a Snow Globe Photo Frame. This item is really fun and festive! It includes holiday artwork and a message of appreciation, but the recipient can add their own photo to personalize it. The snow globes come in a gift box, but I recommend you add your own gift wrapping to make a grand impression when you give this gift. Putting the item in a gift bag with some tissue or wrapping it in special paper will help this gift stand out in your employees’ minds.

Shop Holiday Gifts

The holidays mean winter, and winter means warming up with a hot mug of coffee, hot chocolate, or tea. I am never without my coffee mug, even in the summer! That’s why I chose a new coffee mug or Twist Top Tumbler as my third holiday gift pick. We have a couple travel mugs featuring new holiday designs, or you can choose from our large collection of recognition themed cups. To make this gift extra special, include a gift card to a local coffee shop, or an assortment of teas or hot chocolates that your recipients can try during the months of cold weather.

Shop Holiday Gifts

Gifts that are personal to the recipient are the most effective at expressing your appreciation. A personalized gift set, like the pen and pencil gift set and on-the-move gift set, have the capability for you to engrave each recipient’s name on the cover of the tin. The items inside are practical and can be used either at work or on the go. The benefit to these gift sets is you can make it personal to each individual by selecting a different character story for their unique attributes and skills. Read the story out loud when you present the gifts for a gift event they won’t forget!

Shop Holiday Gifts

My fifth and final idea for your employee holiday gift giving is desktop gifts. A desktop gift is almost anything that can be used on a desk, like a Perpetual Calendar or Flip Top Sticky Note Holder. Because these items sit on a desk and can be used nearly every day, they are a great way to remind your staff of your appreciation. Desktop items are great for volunteers, teachers, and doctors, too, because they can all use these items in their workplace or home. These gifts are very versatile and appropriate for many different people!

The holiday gift season is an important time to tell employees and staff that they’re appreciated. I hope these gift ideas and gift giving tips will help your shopping go smoothly and make a positive impact on your team. Happy shopping!
