Last year, around this same time, I wrote about my past work as an Administrative Assistant. I could probably tell that story over again; but, this year, I thought I’d stop talking about myself for a change and ask the Administrative Professionals at Baudville about their experiences. Because…Administrative Professional’s Day is right around the corner – April 27th!
We have two official helping hands in our office: Rachael, who’s responsible for the whole ‘ville, and Leigh, the executive assistant who assists our CEO. They both do an amazing job, and I’m happy to report that they’re getting the recognition they deserve, not just on Administrative Professional’s Day, but day-to-day as well.
Here’s what Leigh had to say:
“As any employee of the company it is nice to hear from your boss that he values your help. As an Assistant it is really easy to be overlooked; however, I have been fortunate to work for a company that views me as a significant part of the team and recognizes me for my contributions.”
And Rachael told me:
“I think everything Baudville does to help recognize their employees is awesome; but I love getting casual days, gift cards, or time off.”
(See, I told you we’re bananas about casual days here!)
A great way to let your assistants know they’re valued is with gifts from our new Helping Hand theme. The message highlights the qualities you see in them every day and the contemporary design makes rewards they’ll be proud to show off.
If, like Rachael, your assistants would prefer a casual day or time off, consider presenting them using our Star Performer coupons.
(We have I Earned a Casual Day stickers also, but I’ve written about those an awful lot already.)
If you’re out in the working world, chances are there’s an Administrative Professional in your life. Or, maybe you are that person. How about sharing your story? How do you recognize the Administrative Professionals in your office? If you’re an Administrative Professional, what types of recognition are most valuable to you?
Help those who need ideas for recognizing this April 27th by leaving a comment about your experiences! We’re all waiting to hear about it!
